TAG Program
Are you wondering about gifted instruction at Crabapple Crossing? CCES offers TAG (Talented and Gifted) instruction to qualifying students. Students meet one day a week for this pull-out program and are taught by teachers who have their gifted endorsement.
Students at Crabapple Crossing who have not yet qualified for our TAG program are screened two times a year. During screening TAG teachers look for data to find students who are eligible for TAG testing.
Automatic Screening occurs between August and September. During this time, TAG teachers screen students and review supporting data to identify students who qualify for testing. Students referred for testing during Automatic Screening will be tested during the fall semester, and parents are notified of eligibility results in December.
Classroom Screening, occurs during a two-week period between January and February. During this time, TAG teachers review the Characteristics Instrument for Screening and supporting data to identify students who qualify for testing. Students referred for testing during Classroom Screening will be tested between February and March, and parents are notified of eligibility results near the end of the school year.
For more detailed TAG information, please read the Parent Notification of Screening and Referral for Gifted Services and refer to the Fulton County Schools TAG page. If you have questions please contact our CCES TAG teachers Mrs. Geurin at geurin@fultonschools.org or Mrs. Waller at wallerd@fultonschools.org.
